95 Days...

Clouds part like dirt from a soul
And your sky can be seen.
Clap your hands, it's a beautiful day,
Even all the sinners are free...

Yesterday, England won. That little blue-booted Beckham hooked a ball coated in mad english into the far corner of the goal to beat the boys of Ecuador. I hope to see England take home the Cup, but too many solid teams are left to say just yet. Brazil is still in it and they're a squad stacked with soccer wizards. You never know. Football is a fascinating deal.

If you want to be shaken, throw on Keane's new album, "Under the Iron Sea" and skip to track 8, "Crystal Ball". Damn, that's a fine tune. Listen to the whole album because it's phenomenal, but after "Crystal Ball", turn to track 11 and be elevated by the melodies of "The Frog Prince".

I'm finishing a cold cup of coffee. It's time to go. Going to pick up my girl to do some late night grocery shopping.

To a better place I am being carried.
In 94 days this boy will be married...

100 Days...

Brothers, sisters, dreamers, lovers, bratwurst eaters, Flybar clowns, and World Cup addicts...

Today is a beautiful day. Why? Becuase one, I am alive and breathing the fumes of truth and love, two, today marks fourteen months that Kel and I have been together, three, I'm going to buy Keane's new album, and four, we just hit double digits in the countdown to being husband to the most beautiful woman who has ever lived! HELLO! WATCH OUT! Can you hear the chorus of little garden gnomes all over the world singing, "99 days, 99 days..."! What the? I'm not sure what that meant, but who cares. I'm excited.

Update on the Cup...My boys from England moved on. In honor, I'm going to go no shirt all day at work. Could be a bit awkward, but why not celebrate with a bare chest. The Cup only happens once every four years! If USA wins tomorrow against Ghana and Italy smokes the Czechs, then I will complete the outfit and remove the pants as well.

Donnie, if you're reading this, I'm a thousand miles beyond envious of you being there at the Cup. Flybar on, my friend. Let love be the force that guides you and the pogo. Can't wait to see you soon!

I'm off to dream of her. 99 days and counting...

Love today with wind of passion.

105 Days...

I'm sitting in Panera doing what I love to do...drink coffee, read, write, dream about my girl. I'm so into this World Cup right now. I can't get enough. The only bummer is that most of the games are played before I rise for the day and finished by the time I leave work. It also doesn't help that I don't have cable where I live right now, so even if I was around during a match, I'd still be watching the Gamecast online. My faves right now...obviously my homeland, USA, but they basically ran headlong into a train called the Czech Republic the other day and the train won. They play Italy tomorrow and let's hope it goes a bit better. Other than my home soil, I'm rooting for England. I like those white boys. They can play.

Kel and I just spent a great week with our good friends, Scott and Kristen. Fine couple they are. Wish they lived out here in California. Other than that, Kel and I have just been getting more and more excited about being married. Engagement is such a wonderful time, but 104 days seems like forever when I want to be married yesterday. I'm just ready in my heart, so even though 104 days is like nothing in the long run, it seems like five years away. Every day I thank God for my beautiful fiancee. I have no idea how I ever got to be with her. All God, without a doubt. I just think of her and my heart starts doing backflips and pirouettes and stuff. I guess I just can't believe that I get to be with the most ridiculously beautiful and irresistible woman who has ever lived...and for the rest of my life! God is so far beyond good.

I'm raising my mug high tonight and thanking my Father for my babe. It is beautiful tonight just thinking of her...
